LRW Engineering Associates secures TISAX® level 3 accreditation

LRW Engineering Associates is pleased to announce that it has achieved TISAX® Level 3 accreditation, the most rigorous assessment level within the TISAX® framework.

What is TISAX®

TISAX®, which stands for Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange, is an industry standard for assessing and validating information security. It is based on the international standard for information security, ISO/IEC 27001 but goes further by addressing automotive-specific requirements - including the protection of confidential development information, physical prototype vehicles and components, and programme data.

How was LRW assessed?

LRW was independently assessed by approved TISAX® auditor BSI. The assessment involved a comprehensive review of the company's policies, procedures, physical security measures and operational controls, including an on-site audit. Extensive evidence was provided by LRW to demonstrate the effectiveness of the company's processes and systems including its Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Director Richard Threlfall commented:

‘We’re delighted to have achieved TISAX® level 3 accreditation. As a partner to some of the UK’s most prestigious automotive OEMs, it’s critical for us to be able to demonstrate that our systems are robust.

Automotive development programmes rely on the secure handling of highly sensitive data, and this accreditation provides our customers with independent assurance that we have all the appropriate controls, processes and infrastructure in place.’

Why is it important to have a TISAX® verified engineering partner?

Working with a TISAX® accredited partner offers OEMs several benefits:

  • Independent verification through extensive third-party assessment
  • Reduces supply-chain and information security risk
  • Demonstrates alignment with recognised automotive information security standards
  • Provides assurance that intellectual property and prototype information are appropriately protected

Commitment to continuous improvement

TISAX® certification will be revalidated in 2029. In the meantime, LRW will maintain a programme of quarterly internal audits, management reviews and continuous improvement activities to ensure ongoing compliance and uphold the highest standards.
